Assuming you're moving your arm as usual and haven't adjusted your technique, the most likely scenario is your treadmill has gone out of calibration. I can (and have) set FOUR treadmills in the gym to 7mph, or 8:34 pace. Running with my Garmin (s) I can get from 6.4mph up to 7.5mph.
