WebCampaigns Violence Against Women and Girls - a matter of priority Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) is a matter of priority for Northamptonshire Police. We want all women and girls who live, work, socialise or study in Northamptonshire to not only be safe, but feel safe, whether that is in public spaces, at home or online. WebWe use VAWG to refer to a range of actions that harm, or cause suffering and indignity to, women and children. These include but are not limited to: physical, sexual and psychological violence in the family, general community or institutions. This includes domestic abuse, rape, incest and child sexual abuse
